Bedford Burgher, CPA – Managing Member, Director of Tax Services
For Fourteen years prior to launching BURGHER HAGGARD, Bedford served in the roles of CFO, Director, and Trustee for three family firms. Before that, he spent 11 years in the Tax Department of Ernst & Young’s Fort Worth office, attaining the level of Senior Manager. Bedford has a BBA in accounting from University of Texas at Austin.
Clint Haggard – Managing Member, Director of Business Development
For the last 20+ years, Clint has served as CFO and Trustee for various private individuals and family groups. Clint comes from two 1850s Texas families that both continue to control assets at a group level. From the financial and non-financial experiences with his family, as well as others over the years, Clint has progressively increased his role in educating and helping families with the non-financial aspects of preserving assets and family unity across generations. Clint has a BBA in accounting and finance from Tarleton State University and an MBA from Texas Christian University.
George Thompson, CPA – Senior Tax Consultant
George has been engaged in tax practice for 42 years. He spent 11 years in the tax department of Arthur Young & Company and then joined Altaras & Thompson, PC where he has worked for 31 years. George has a BA in economics and accounting from Claremont Men’s College and a law degree from University of Texas at Austin.
Jeremy Sweek, CPA – Managing Director of Real Estate Services
Jeremy has over 20 years of financial and accounting experience. He began his career in public accounting performing audits and consulting engagements at Weaver and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Following that, he spent seven years at Crescent Real Estate Equities, working in multiple capacities, assisting the Chief Financial Officer with strategic planning, budgeting and analysis, and spearheading investor and media relations. Jeremy has a BBA in accounting from Texas Christian University.
Andrew Davis, CPA – Managing Director of Oil & Gas Services
Andrew started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers performing audits of publicly traded software and energy clients. After leaving PwC, he worked in the oil & gas industry in hybrid roles, focusing on systems implementation, automation, and financial reporting processes. Andrew has a MS in accounting from Southern Methodist University.
Shea Davis, CPA – Managing Director of Alternative Fund Services
Shea Davis has over 20 years of experience as a tax, accounting and finance expert advising companies in complex situations. Prior to joining Burgher Haggard, Shea was a Partner and CFO of an emerging private equity fund focused on the media and technology industries. Previously, Shea was the leader of the Southwest Financial Services Tax Practice of Ernst & Young, focusing on asset management and a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions team at PwC. Shea also served as the national Hedge Fund & Private Equity Technical Advisor with the Internal Revenue Service. She started her career in NYC working in structured finance investment banking. Shea has a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Taxation degree from Texas A&M University. She currently serves on the boards of the Texas Hedge Fund Association and Texas Wall Street Women.
Dan Roberts – Managing Director of Land and Ranch Administration
Dan has experience in real estate asset management, ranch construction management, livestock and natural resources management. Dan has the experience to help BURGHER HAGGARD’s clients with surface related concerns such as Grass Leases, Hunting Leases, Surface Use Agreements, Pipeline Easements, Seismic Permits, and Overhead Transmission line easements as needed. He helps maintain and monitor insurance coverage and claims, Agricultural Valuations, Appraisals, Inspections, Annual Reviews, and Deed Preparations for remainder beneficiary distributions.
Fred Closuit – Managing Director of Mineral Management Services
For the last 20 years, Fred has owned and operated both an Oil & Gas exploration and production company and has assisted various companies as a Petroleum Engineering consultant. As a consultant, Fred has provided support in reservoir, completion and production operations engineering roles and management capacities. Prior to opening his own business, Fred spent 12 years with Tarpon Oil Company as a completion and production engineer and as a Field Engineer for Halliburton Logging Services. Fred has a BS in Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Anthony “Tony” DeChellis, CPA, CFP – Senior Tax Specialist
Tony has over 35 years of tax experience. Prior to joining BURGHER HAGGARD, he spent 12 years in the tax department of Ernst & Young’s Fort Worth office and 25 years as a tax analyst/editor with the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of tax reference materials and software for tax professionals. Tony has a BBA in accounting from Texas Christian University.
Norman Foreman, CPA – Fractional CFO Oil & Gas Services
Norman has brought 40 years of progressive leadership experience to BURGHER HAGGARD, primarily from his 30 plus years with two large family offices in Dallas and Fort Worth. Norman has worked extensively with oil and gas exploration and production, transportation, and marketing operations. Working for families in Texas also exposed him to analysis and oversight of private equity, startup ventures, traditional brokerage accounts, agriculture operations, complex estate planning and administration. Norman has a BBA in accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Rick Pokluda – Assistant Controller, Oil & Gas Services
Rick has more than 30 years of financial accounting experience, with a majority focus in oil & gas exploration and production accounting. Rick has a BBA degree in accounting from the University of North Texas.
Jack Klemm, CPA – CFO, Controller
Jack has more than 28 years of financial accounting experience, much of which has been in the oil and gas and construction industries. Jack has a Master of Accounting degree from Texas Christian University and a BBA from West Texas State University.
Christina Ryan, CPA – Controller
Christina started her career in public accounting with PwC, where she worked in the Transaction Services and Audit groups handling corporate acquisitions, divestitures, and technical accounting for Fortune 500 companies. She then worked at Invesco Real Estate, a multi-billion-dollar real estate investment manager as a Senior Accountant and Assistant Controller over financial reporting and fund accounting. Christina has a Masters of Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jeff Keyes, CPA – CFO
Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in corporate taxation and accounting. He spent 17 years with Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company where he began his career as a staff accountant and ultimately worked his way up to Senior Director of Tax. In overseeing the global tax function at Dickies, Jeff gained valuable knowledge of S corporations, tax planning, transfer pricing, tax audit defense, and federal, state and international tax compliance. Jeff has a BBA in accounting from Texas Christian University.
Mack Roenbrook, CPA – Controller
Mack has over 6 years of financial reporting and accounting experience. He began his career in public accounting performing audits and consulting engagements at WhitleyPenn, where he was also an Audit Manager before joining Burgher Haggard. He has experience working in various industries including, real estate, healthcare, distribution & manufacturing, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profits. Mack has a Masters of Accountancy from Baylor University.
Lori Miller, CPA – Client Service Manager, Controller
Lori has a strong background in financial reporting and partnership accounting. She has held positions as General Accounting Manager and Planning Manager for a large retail chain as well as Supervisor in a local CPA firm. She has also worked as an independent consultant for a multi-billion dollar private equity firm during a system implementation. Lori has a BBA in accounting from Texas A&M University and has been with BURGHER HAGGARD since 2009.
Stacy Mitchell, CPA – Client Service Manager, Controller
Stacy has 12+ years of financial reporting and accounting experience. She started her career with two years in public accounting at KPMG. Following that, she was with Rockpoint Group, a multi-billion dollar private equity real estate investment group. There she spent more than five years working in the areas of financial reporting, investor relations and finance. Stacy has a Master of Science in Accounting degree from Texas A&M University.
Jennifer Walker, CPA – Controller
Jennifer has 15 years of public and private accounting and audit experience with a focus in oil and gas partnerships and corporations. Jennifer has held positions as Audit Senior and Audit Senior Manager for two of the Big Four accounting firms. Most recently, she has worked as Controller for a multi-state oil and gas downhole service company. Additionally she is proficient with accounting process design and implementation, the coordination of annual audits and tax returns, significant SEC reporting management, and oversight of all components of accounting and financial statement generation. Jennifer has a BBA and Master of Science in Accounting degree from the University of North Texas.
Stan Hyun – Financial Reporting and Data Integration Specialist
Prior to joining BURGHER HAGGARD in 2008, Stan worked for NextCorp, Ltd providing software consulting and implementations. Stan offers great depth and knowledge of the programs and software we use and the full range of their capabilities. He is an expert in designing custom financial reports and developing methods for automating data entry. Stan has a BA in economics from University of Texas at Austin.
Jay Roberts, CPA – Data Integration Specialist, Network Support
Jay has more than 15 years of experience as controller in various corporate environments and is also skilled in the area of networking and information technologies, which are his passions. Jay has a BBA in accounting from Baylor University and a Master of Taxation degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. Jay has been with BURGHER HAGGARD since 2006.
Joan Mayo, CPA – New Client Implementation Specialist
Joan began her career in public accounting in tax. She worked for a multi-billion dollar family for 9 years and has spent a significant amount of time in and oil & gas accounting. She has worked on implementing new accounting software for numerous clients, including a multi-billionaire family office, a multi-billion dollar private equity fund, and a multi-billion dollar independent oil & gas company. She has found her niche in accounting system implementation and other special projects. Joan holds a BBA in Accounting from Angelo State University.
Damon Williams – New Client Implementation Specialist
Damon Williams joined Burgher Haggard December 2017, two days after graduating from Tarleton State University with a BBA in Accounting. Damon brings a strong work ethic from working his way through college and his excellent skills have already proven useful in implementing new clients.
Bridget Clay – Senior Tax Compliance Specialist
Bridget has more than 20 years of tax preparation experience. For the ten years prior to joining BURGHER HAGGARD, Bridget was with a very large family enterprise, where she was responsible for the tax compliance in a diversified group of closely held entities that included oil and gas operations, real estate, hedge funds, and private equity. Duties included administering all functions relating to federal, state and local income and excise taxes. Bridget has a BBA in accounting from the University of Phoenix.
Terri Bradley, CPA – Tax Manager
Terri joined Burgher Haggard in 2019 with over 20 years of tax and accounting experience with a local public accounting firm. She has an extensive background in preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, trusts, S-corporations and partnerships. She has a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Laurie Seidel, CPA – Tax Manager
Laurie brings with her to BURGHER HAGGARD more than 20 years of comprehensive tax and accounting experience with a local public accounting firm. She has a BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Sara Verheyen, CPA – Tax Compliance Specialist
Sara joined BURGHER HAGGARD in 2015 with over 3 years of tax and accounting experience with a local public accounting firm, where she was a Senior Tax Accountant. She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Accounting and Master’s in Accounting, both from Abilene Christian University. Sara is a graduate of the Fort Worth Chapter TSCPA’s 2014 Leadership Development program.
Amanda Enocksen, CPA – Tax Compliance Specialist
Amanda joined Burgher Haggard in 2019 with 3 years of tax experience from a public accounting firm in East Texas. Prior to working in public accounting she spent 5 years working as an accountant in the oil & gas services industry. Amanda earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Kailey Brandon – Tax Admin Assistant Manager
Kailey joined Burgher Haggard in February of 2019 as a Tax Admin Assistant Manager. With over 10 years of office management experience, she has been very successful at helping to manage the Burgher Tax Services projects, as well as meeting the additional administrative needs of our tax team though with data entry, improvement of filing processes and coordinating client communications.
Phan Foster – Controller
Phan joined BURGHER HAGGARD in 2014. She has over 10 years of public accounting experience, most recently at a firm where she served as an audit supervisor. She has a diverse auditing background which includes nonprofit organizations, health benefit plans, financial institutions, and governmental entities. Phan graduated from Texas Tech University earning her BBA in Accounting.
Cathy Gordon, CPA – Assistant Controller
Cathy has over 25 years of accounting experience. She has worked in various accounting roles in the aerospace, optical, and financial services industries. Cathy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Illinois State University.
Bethany Gee – Controller
Bethany has more than two years experience as a budget analyst in governmental accounting. She has a diverse background including accounts payable, general accounting, payroll, and human resources with construction and manufacturing companies. Bethany graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a BBA in Accounting.
Debra Roberts – Bookkeeper
Debra joined BURGHER HAGGARD in 2015 with over 20 years of accounting experience in industries ranging from property management to government contracting with duties including accounts payable, treasury management, and financial reporting.
Terry Turman – Bookkeeper/Draw Specialist
Terry has more than 18 years of accounts payable, accounts receivable and clerical experience for private business and with a public school district. Terry has a BBA in Business from the University of Texas at Tyler.
Evanisto Cortez – Staff Accountant/Investment Reconciliation Specialist
Evanisto joined Burgher Haggard in 2017. He brings three years of accounting experience in the external audit of governmental entities and 401(k) administration. Evanisto graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Tarleton State University.
Jessica Crider – Bookkeeper
Jessica joined BURGHER HAGGARD in December of 2017. She graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Accounting. She interned throughout college and gained knowledge in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping.
Trent Shires – Assistant Controller
Trent joined BURGHER HAGGARD in October of 2017 with two years of public accounting experience at a local CPA firm. He has a background in payroll, tax preparation, and general accounting. He has a BBA in accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Accounting.
Christian Engelbaum – Senior Accountant
Christian joined Burgher Haggard in 2019 with more than 2 years of corporate accounting experience as a Staff Accountant. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA double-majoring in Accounting and Finance.
Linda Abbett – Bookkeeper
Linda joined Burgher Haggard in 2017 with over 30 years of accounting experience in industries ranging from travel to pharmaceuticals to construction. She has spent the last twelve years in the oil & gas industry focusing on revenue and partnership accounting.
Gabe Mier – Bookkeeper
Gabe joined BURGHER HAGGARD in February of 2018. He graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington, with a BBA in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. Diligence and adaptability have allowed Gabe to flourish in his hybrid role of Bookkeeper and Accounts Payable within the Family Office team.
Heather Jackson – Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Specialist
Heather joined the BURGHER HAGGARD team in May of 2019. She has 6 years of bookkeeping experience with a background in small business and non-profit organizations. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting at Tarleton State University.
Travis Tidwell – Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Specialist
Travis joined Burgher Haggard in February of 2019. He recently graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BBA in accounting and plans to pursue further education and obtain his CPA. Travis currently handles AP and bookkeeping for clients while managing due dates and other responsibilities and looks forward to growing with the company.

Hope has been working with BURGHER HAGGARD since 2011. She has more than 15 years of accounting experience from such industries as law, banking, manufacturing, and real estate.
Abby Ware – Client Accounts Payable Specialist
Abby joined BURGHER HAGGARD in 2014 starting as a personal and clerical assistant. Her eager desire to learn and exceptional organizational skills have helped her quickly grow in her role as an Administrative Assistant, assisting with mail distribution, filing and special projects.
Catherine Dennis – O&G Revenue Specialist
Catherine graduated from Richland College in 2008 with an Associates in Science followed up by a stint at The University of Texas at Dallas where she walked away with a Bachelors of Arts. She has been working in the Oil and Gas Industry since 2013. Having started her career in an administrative and records maintenance capacity, she has since become an experienced accountant with a focus on the revenue side of the business. She has one dog, by the name of Pitchiner Kozmotis Winchester Dennis, and a great love of cooking.
Aaron “Clay” Houston – Client Accounts Payable Specialist
Clay brings to Burgher Haggard 20 years of work experience in accounts receivables, accounts payables, and billing in the following variety of industry: Insurance, private utilities and oil & gas and chemical companies.
Perri McCranie – Office Manager
Perri joined BURGHER HAGGARD in December of 2014 and has over 25 years of administrative and professional business experience acquired from various industries including oil & gas, banking, and finance. Her exceptional skills in organization and administration help her to manage the office, human resources and special project requirements, while also managing a fully staffed Admin group to serve all our department and client’s needs. Perri loves contributing to the success of Burgher Haggard and traveling with her family.
Cheyenne McCullar – Administrative Assistant
Cheyenne McCullar brings two years of experience and strong organization skills to our Administrative team; as well as provides Accounts Payable services to the Real Estate group. Cheyenne also manages the collection of data used to prepare many Client investment portfolio reports that are prepared on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Libi Stavinoha – Administrative Assistant
Libi Stavinoha joined BURGHER HAGGARD in June 2017 as an administrative assistant. Her exceptional skills have proven to be an asset in contributing to the administrative needs ofour organization, including mail distribution, filing and special projects.
Stefany Floyd – Administrative Assistant
Stefany Floyd joined Burgher Haggard in March of 2019 as an Administrative Assistant. She graduated with her bachelor’s from The University of North Texas. Her broad work history and organizational skills have proven her to be a great contribution to the Burgher Haggard family. She currently helps with office manager duties, as well as mail sorting and distribution along with helping prepare monthly investment reports for clients.
Yolimar Cartagena – Administrative Assistant
Yoli Cartagena joined Burgher Haggard in June 2018 as an Administrative Assistant. She is currently studying at UNT for a degree in mathematics. Her exceptional organizational skills have helped her become an important part of our administrative team, as she is taking on tasks including mail distribution, filing and special projects.
